Theme 278 - Power

Power of the Sea

Blowing a gale here at present, although much calmer than yesterday, so I decided to venture out to the seaside. As the wind was so strong, I couldn't get as close to the sea as I would have liked. However, did get this shot on the quayside.

The combined power of the wind and sea is quite frightening but thrillling as well.

You have to click on the image to see it larger, then you can really see the spray from the crashing wave. Great shot, Linda, and I think the contrast in your b&w is excellent - it really focuses attention on the surf...

Excellent shot Linda, Wow! And yes, the B&W is extremely well done as well.

I remember these gales when I visited over your way - I was hanging onto the car handles to keep from getting swept away. Of course I just had to have a picture! lol

I also clicked on the photo. It's a very powerful shot. I love the see, it sure is frightening at times.

Nice. I quite enjoy storm watching. The raw power is fascinating.

I don't know it there is anything more powerful than the sea. Good idea and a nice shot too.
