I used to do a lot of dressmaking many years ago, partly out of pleasure and a lot to do with finances. I loved detail, especially buttons and have kept all of the leftover ones.I do not recall the item I used these for, but I suspect it was not as pretty as the buttons.
Used a white vignette for a change as I thought it added to the overall delicate effect.

The lighting, the focus, the color and the buttons themselves are just wonderful. I'm still struggling with this theme, which seems like it should be easy, but hasn't been for me. You certainly did it right.
That is so pretty! You did a great job with the shot - the dof and the soft background are so perfect. I love it!
It's a very pretty photo, with the delicacy of the buttons - they're quite unusual too!
