Rainy Day in CumbriaThis is the easy one - no shortage of this stuff at the moment. I had a great day out on business but on the road a lot. So here is a view of my day - rain through the windscreen. My original idea was to take a picture of the windscreen wipers working, using a slow shutter speed - Do you have any idea how hard that is!!! Definitely need a car friendly tripod in order to carry out that idea. So this picture was taken in a private driveway of a house I was visiting. Fortunately the house was empty, unlike my windscreen wiper shots - there was a farmer in a tractor extremely puzzled as to why there was a strange women sitting in the car taking pictures of......(??!).
However, today I got 2 for 1 - see Mirror.

Okay - I LOVE this one.
I took a series of pictures, about 8 months ago, driving across Texas and following a thunder storm a good part of the way. I couldn't get the wipers shot, either, but I got some wonderful ones just of the rain streaked windows and the lights of the other cars on the road (their lights were on because the clouds made it so dark).
By the way, I've added a link to your 366 photos on mine :-)
Thanks for that - and so prompt! I will get around to adding the links soon.
BTW, glad I'm not the only daft person trying to photograph windscreen wipers ;-)
Linda, that one is fantastic! Well executed shot.
Linda, this captures the mood of being stuck in the car in the rain perfectly.
