St GeorgeThis is a wooden picture depicting St George slaying the dragon. It was a gift from Bulgaria and DH keeps it in his (wooden) shed (??) Never noticed it until today. I checked on the history of St George, which being patron saint of England thought was special and unique to England - well, I have had my eyes opened on that one!!! Seems that St George is patron saint of many countries and had a particularly gruesome end. The slaying of the dragon is pure legend of course.

Probably not something you see in most garden sheds! I am sure I heard he was Turkish or something, when we had St. George's Day this year!
