Theme 365 - Forest

Whinlatter Forest

This forest is very close to where we live, so is a favourite dog walk.  It is being developed at the moment for tourists and quite a lot is going on there now.  A new cycle shop has opened with cycle paths through the forest.  The famous "Coast to Coast" walk/cycle ride goes through here as well.  "Go Ape" has opened very recently (that's a whole different story!) and it has a half decent cafe which sells a reasonably good cappucino and some great cakes.  Always a welcome end to a walk.

I adjusted this in Lightroom to give the picture a little drama the scene actually lacked.  I did try and just take a picture of the forest, but it lacked a focal point (just too boring), so the gang were dragged in to pose for me (again!).  This time, all 3 of the girls were in the shot, including dear old Bess, much loved, but not so photogenic as the other 2 ;-).

This is so beautiful! I hope the forest maintains it's beauty with the influx of tourists. Your photographic models make the shot, that's for sure...

I'll echo that - Beautiful! Your composition is perfect, especially with the placement of the dogs and your friend/or mom? Really gorgeous!

I really like it, with hubby there and the three girls all eagerly focused on him - and including Bess. Because I have a soft spot for the oldies who might not be as photogenic ;-)
