Energy EaterOur Aga, lovely to cook with, expensive to buy and now with the prices of energy soaring, extremely expensive to run :-(
Took this with a very slow shutter speed (4 sec) set on a tripod and used "Live View" for the first time on my 40D. Great for focusing, really liked that aspect of this feature. Also used the "long shutter speed noise reduction" feature on the custom settings.

The 40D is really paying off with some excellent shots. It is very motivating when you get new equipment, isn't it?
Oh but they keep the house warm and are very homey for a cottage...
OK, I've only seen one once, a friend up on Dartmoor had one in her parents' cottage. Their greyhound (lazy breed, once they've had a sprint) loved to sleep in front of it, where it was warm!
