Cool lighting effect! Is it the light reflecting off the saucer that puts the circle of white on the side of the cup? I love the angle and the way you have the bit of cinnamon(?) on the rim of the cup. Another excellent shot!
The lighting really worked in my favour here. I was at the end of the table (which I wanted, so I could take group shots and others) - it was quite a bright sunny day and there was a lot of reflected light. I was sat more in towards the middle of the restaurant, which gave this wonderful mix of lighting and yes, the circle of light is the saucer - I cropped it this way to give emphasis to the "chocolate" sprinkle on the rim and the arc of light.
One evening in August 2006, I downloaded the trial version of Adobe Elements, loved it and for the next 3 months, was totally absorbed learning how to use such fun software . I quickly realised that whilst editing can do a lot for not so good photos (polite term for "crap")it was actually better to be creative with good images - and so my love of photography was re-ignited.
This Blog is part of my creative journey. I have a lot to learn but the motivation of getting out there to tick off the themes gives me good practice.
Please look through and feel free to comment, which I welcome and appreciate.
Thanks for stopping by.

It does look very good... nice image with the low light and close-up angle.
